I'm slogging through 9900 userguide and saw this at page 226. My current leaning is not to mess with it. (i think one of our IT guys got prompted to Create a BlackBerry ID while transferring stuff from old 9000 to new 9900, and i was hesitant then too and we did not.) right now i can still go to and enter my userid and password credentials and change my BIS stuff i am not sure what this new Create a BlackBerry ID is about other than (1) creating new stuff for me to memorize and/or (2) induce me to purchase various blackberry applications i probably don't need or want there wasn't a lot more information in the userguide. If anyone has thoughts on this general subject, i would gratefully receive.
